Embarking on a relationship with someone from your workplace is something that is an extremely risky move, as we have all heard stories about such couples being involved in nasty break-ups.

The Forum of Private Business (FPB) has suggested employers should come up with clear policies that make it less likely an unpleasant period of nastiness will follow the end of a relationship in their business.

While there is no way to prevent staff from getting together, bosses can act if they feel romantic liaisons are having an impact on the company.

For instance, if there is an effect on trust and confidence in colleagues, or other workers feel there is a conflict of loyalties, bosses can refer to their rules and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.

Jo Eccles, business advisor at the FPB, said: "While love may just be waiting by the water cooler, getting some advice on an office romance policy can help make things clear from the start and help to avoid any trouble in the workplace later."

Alternatively, if you value your career highly enough not to want to risk ruining it by falling in love with a colleague, a good idea is to search for a partner elsewhere – and online dating sites provide the obvious answer right now.

Online dating may have once been something to be embarrassed by, but it is now one of the most popular ways to meet people and attracts millions of users all around the world.

You can sign up quickly and easily and be chatting to other members within minutes, depending of course on you being able to find someone you are interested in.

One of the main benefits of online dating is that it is usually incredibly easy to find men or women you are attracted to, as a result of the sheer volume of users who are now turning to such sites to find love.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801691030-ADNFCR
