Online dating has changed the way that many men approach courtship.
AskMen columnist Ian Lang noted that sending an email or a text message does not take anywhere near as much "gumption" as asking someone out in-person.
Because of this, previously shy individuals may find they now have the confidence to ask ladies out on terms they are comfortable with.
"Now anyone can enjoy the perception of desirability, thanks to online dating sites that convey your intentions and put you within arm's reach of thousands of people," Mr Lang stated.
No one should be surprised if they have a few underwhelming experiences when on dates, as they are casting their nets much wider than ever before.
If single individuals want to be successful with dating sites, then they need to pay some attention to how their profile page looks.
Unless they are coming across as desirable, then ladies are unlikely to agree to dates.
