Online dating could spring pleasant surprises for single soldiers looking to find love on the internet, if one example is anything to go by.

A teacher met her future husband through the medium and was unaware he already worked as a caretaker at the same school as her, The Mirror reports.

Hazel Carter found herself attracted to Dominic Green when she saw a photograph of him in a wet suit on his online dating profile.

The 32-year-old was unaware the guy of her dreams was also employed by South Molton Community College in Devon and sent an email to Mr Green.

She explained the 35-year-old replied to her message straight away and noted she was shocked when she discovered who he was: "I nearly fell off the sofa. We chatted for ages and really hit it off."

Dating coach Matt Titus recently suggested courtship via the world wide web is becoming increasingly popular among men as they look to woo ladies.
