Online daters ‘should keep their profile details constant’

Single soldiers hoping to find a lover through online dating may want to keep the details listed on their personal profile constant, following the suggestions of one expert.

Writing for One India, Denise Baptiste claimed people may be put off a person who keeps changing their details.

The specialist observed individuals need to remain true to themselves and resist the temptation to keep altering facts – as this will arouse suspicion in others.

She said: "Do not make this mistake as those who are frequent visitors to your profile will ponder over the thought as to why you keep changing your personal data often."

Having said that, Ms Baptiste added users should endeavour to create an attractive profile that includes a recent photograph likely to draw in potential dates.

Writing recently for Psychology Today, Todd Essig noted internet courtship can be more complex than many people first assume, as those using the medium are not just pictures on a screen but individuals with feelings and emotions.
