Single soldiers hoping to find a lover through online dating might want to make sure their grammar is up to scratch.
Writing for sofeminine.co.uk, Jo Middleton has revealed poor punctuation can be a real turn-off for internet browsers studying the profile of a prospective partner.
The relationship expert noted the odd mistake is fine but added blatant disregard for proper spelling could possibly ruin a couple’s chances of hooking up.
"One thing I really can’t keep an open mind about is sloppy grammar," the reporter remarked.
Ms Middleton recommended a person should take their time over any correspondence between themselves and those they are attracted to, as first impressions are key in such a scenario and so the initial email should not be peppered with mistakes.
A recent survey conducted by the Scientific Research Centre found online liaisons are becoming an increasingly common source of relationships among women in the UK.
