Single soldiers hoping to be successful with online dating may want to avoid some of the most common mistakes people make when communicating through the medium.
According to Mark Whysall, writing for ADI News, singles trying to entice a person over the web should avoid sharing too much information too quickly, as the recipient will not want to be bombarded with data at the very beginning.
The expert claimed correspondence should be kept light to allow the prospective partner to slowly get to know them.
He added another error individuals tend to make is being over-zealous.
"Sending out too many messages in a day without response will be seen as desperation, wait until a response is received before sending another message," Mr Whysall explained.
In a recent article for the Iowa State Daily, Sean Flack noted the internet is becoming an increasingly popular avenue down which young people are looking for relationships.
