Single soldiers on the look out for a new beau may want to refrain from using certain phrases when writing up their personal profiles, following the advice of one expert.

Writing for The Frisky, Ami Angelowicz claimed a number of descriptions widely used by men can be particularly off-putting for women.

The relationship specialist said she cannot believe the type of things some guys post online, adding: "You have the opportunity to put your best foot forward and you go and tell the ladies the very worst things about yourself."

She noted some of the comments girls do not want to hear include 'I'm looking for fun', 'I'm looking for someone to make me forget about my ex girlfriend' and 'I'm not into romance'.

In a recent article for Ballston-Virginia Square patch, Karen Gordon advised people looking for love over the web to stand out from the crowd and draw attention to their profiles.
