Online daters ‘can learn a lot about someone before meeting them’

Single soldiers wanting to be sure they are heading on a date with a suitable partner may find online dating provides them with the details they require.

Belinda Dicker met her husband online and has claimed web profiles are very useful in ensuring prospective daters are well matched, the Berwick Leader reports.

Ms Dicker said it is amazing how much information is available on such personal descriptions.

The successful online dater noted: "It's nice to be able to read about someone and get some insight into who they are as a person before meeting them."

Using the internet to look for love could be ideal for those short on time and money whose busy lives prevent them from being able to head out and meet people in the old-fashioned way, Ms Dicker suggested.

In a recent article for Your Tango, Darcy Johansan claimed turning to the world wide web to find romance offers a completely new and exciting experience for many.
