Olly Murs: Always be chivalrous with ladies

Olly Murs thinks it's vital that men are chivalrous towards the opposite sex when going on dates.

The singer, who is currently top of both the UK single and album charts, has told Yahoo his top tips for charming a girl.

As well as being respectful, Murs pointed out that punctuality is essential, adding: "If you are not five minutes early, you are five minutes too late – make sure you get to her … early."

The Xtra Factor host thinks no man should overlook the opportunity to compliment a girl, as they will like being told they look amazing.

When on a first date, Murs remarked guys should make sure they do not act like clowns, while previous relationships are a no-no when it comes to topics of conversation.

He added the most important thing is to be natural, as ladies will be able to spot if a man is putting on an act.
