His face is one of the most recognisable in the modern world, but Kim Jong-Un is not a person we would be expecting to see in the UK any time soon…and especially not on our bank notes!

But that is apparently just what is happening, with a report from Facebook appearing to claim that some counterfeit five pound notes are doing the rounds in the UK, sporting the rather unfetching visage of the North Korean 'glorious leader' dressed up to mimic the queen.

Ant Norfolk, 24, took to Facebook to complain that after a night out last weekend he had checked the change he had left in his pocket, only to discover the face of Kim staring back at him from one of his leftover fivers.

"I was in a bar somewhere in Manchester," he told Facebook.

"Apparently I “dropped” a note, which a stranger was kind enough to “give back” to me.

"I didn’t notice it was different. I just put it in my pocket like you would and said thank you."

Thankfully it seems that someone was playing a joke on Mr Norfolk rather than genuinely trying to pass of Kim as a replacement for the queen, and it has been taken in the right spirits. The partygoer has now listed the note for sale on eBay for five pounds, and said he will give half of the proceeds to charity.

The story is just another strange one in the life of Kim Jong-Un, who often finds himself at the centre of some crazy stories. Last year, North Korean official media apparently reported that he had sent an astronaut to the sun, while other news stories reported that whole the leader was out of the public eye for some time that he had actually become ill after binging on cheese!ADNFCR-2867-ID-801780074-ADNFCR
