Have you ever seen the movie Anchorman?

It's about a hapless newscaster called Ron Burgundy and his friends and the various scrapes they get in to.

In one scene, Burgundy reads out a phrase on the autocue that makes him look like a fool.

Unfortunately for Brian Niznansky – who works for NBC channel WGBA – he has also been tricked on live television, uttering the words: "I love lamp".

After he realises what he has done, the man is clearly embarrassed, while his co-anchor shouts out: "Oh my God, he totally fell for it."

Apparently the prank was set up by the production team because they were certain that Mr Niznansky would read out anything that was put on the autocue – and they were right.

He must feel like a right eejit, but at least he was able to see the humorous side of it and didn't get too annoyed.

It'll be interesting to see what revenge Mr Niznansky has in store for his co-anchor.
