The manufacturers of a brand new bra have revealed it has been specially designed so that it cannot be taken off by a partner unless the women wearing it is in love.

Japanese lingerie producer Ravijour is behind the True Love Tester bra, which features a built-in sensor that can detect a lady's heartbeat.

All the while she is wearing it the front clasp will remain locked, until such a moment that "genuine excitement" is detected. At that time, the bra will spring open, ending the struggle any possible partner may have been experiencing in trying to remove the garment up to that point.

It gives women a chance to put off men who are only interested in loveless flings and one-night stands, and wait for someone truly special who gets their heart racing.

Ravijour said: "When excited, the adrenal medulla [gland] secretes catecholamine, which affects the automatic nerve and stimulates the heart rate. A sensor reads the woman's heart rate and sends it to a special app via Bluetooth for analysis."

An app calculates exactly how in love the lady is over a period of time and when the reading reaches a certain level it will open.

The manufacturer is adamant this means the bra cannot be taken from a woman's chest unless she is truly in love with the person she is with, although there is no mention of how she can remove it at the end of the day if simply going to sleep alone.

Unfortunately for women who might have been interested in purchasing one of the bras, they will not be going on sale through normal methods.

Instead, the only way to get hold of one is to enter a competition that is being held to celebrate Ravijour's tenth anniversary in the trade, with the winner taken from those who spend a certain amount of money on its products.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801688463-ADNFCR
