Single soldiers who are taking to the web in the hopes of meeting a special someone may be interested in a new book exploring the complicated world of online dating.

Tanya Gold of the Daily Mail recently reviewed Soulmates: True Stories From the World Of Online Dating, written by Sonali Ferdinand.

She noted that that the book offers "textbook"-style advice about the do’s and don’ts of dating online, including strategies to improve your profile, juggling interest from several potential dates at once and ways to avoid those who do not suit your interests.

However, Ms Gold was less keen on the book’s numerous case studies, as she found they were not taken from a diverse-enough group.

The internet can be a great place for single soldiers on a budget to look for love, as it can be a cheaper and quicker way to make a connection than ordinary dating.

However, My Joy Online points out that singles may wish to limit their searches for potential partners to a nearby region, as this will make it easier on both parties if a love match is successful.
