A new book is going to focus on how online dating can be used by people to find love.

Internet Dating 101: It's Complicated … But It Doesn't Have To Be has been written by Laura Schreffler and seeks to offer individuals advice on how to approach the medium.

It features summaries, reviews and anecdotes from various sites so people can make sure they avoid some of the most common pitfalls facing single people.

As well as this, it has tips on what not to write on an online dating profile and what constitutes a good profile photo.

The book also outlines when it is best to send an email, pick up the phone, or simply chat in person.

"[It] is an all-encompassing guide for those wanting to use social media and the internet to look for and maintain love in the digital age," New Chapter Press stated.
