A small number of people are always ready to give the latest trendy activity a go in a bid to get the adrenaline pumping, but for some the prospect of hurtling down a mountain on a unicycle may be just too much to bear.

However, that is exactly what a group of thrill-seekers are now doing for fun, with mountains and cliff faces providing the perfect setting for their pursuit.

Adrenaline junkies crash down the rocks while pedalling and pivoting as much as possible, all the while using their custom-made unicycles.

Kevin Callaby, 34, from Falmouth in Cornwall said: "Mountain unicycling is described as a cross between mountain biking and rodeo riding, and that's absolutely spot on."

He went on to suggest there is actually only a very small chance of anybody being injured during the activity, as unlike with normal bicycles or skis, the legs are not caught up in any machinery.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801576518-ADNFCR
