Over the years, plenty of people have done some unusual things to raise money for charity, and wearing slippers to a singing session is up there with the best of them.

Members of Yeovilton Military Wives Choir have been doing their bit for Help for Heroes recently by turning up to rehearsals wearing their slippers, reports the Blackmore Vale Magazine.

A special National Slipper Day was held last week and the singing group were determined to mark the occasion at their latest get-together.

Whereas those who attend the rehearsals might normally expect to find the singers in their high heels, last week they would have found them more ready for bed than the stage.

Help for Heroes works tirelessly to support former servicemen and women who have been injured or wounded while serving their country, allowing them to return to a normal life once they are home in the UK.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801693184-ADNFCR
