Some people might think losing two legs would be the end of a cat's life, but one feline is proving them all wrong.
Mercury, who was left disabled at just four days old following a collision with a weed whacker, has not allowed his unfortunate loss of limbs to stop him having a great time, reports Metro.
He owes his life to a vet who opted not to take the easy decision to have him put down following the nasty accident.
Since then, he has gone from strength to strength and his owners have revealed they are rightly very proud of his progress.
"Mercury does everything other cats do – he plays with toys, he jumps, plays with other cats and dogs, sleeps on the bed, uses a litter box and believes he is the king of the world," they explained.
In the future, Mercury might have to use a wheelchair-like device, but for now he is still coping on two legs.
