Baggage charges on airlines are really annoying, as you feel like you are paying for something that should already be included in the cost of a ticket.

However, one man in China has struck upon a genius idea to avoid having to pay the additional fee.

After being told that his luggage exceeded the weight limit, the man put on around 70 items of clothing so that he wouldn't have to part with any more money, the Guangzhou Daily reports.

Unsurprisingly, he was stopped by the metal detector and so had to undergo a full body search, where batteries, thumb drives and device chargers were among the items found in his numerous pockets.

You have to admire the man's dedication to the cause, even if it probably made going to the toilet very uncomfortable.

I just hope he puts the money he saved from wearing all of his clothes to good use!
