Man takes bite out of python

Snakes can be terrifying creatures and some times people do not like getting up close and personal with them.

However, one man in Sacramento, US, has shown no such fear after he bit a python in what is believed to be an unprovoked attack.

David Senk went for the animal after consuming too much alcohol, which resulted in it needing emergency surgery.

Speaking to KOVR-TV, Mr Senk remarked that he did not remember a lot of what happened.

"I get drunk, I get crazy. I don't know. I've been an alcoholic for a long time. It's the other way around usually. They bite me," he said.

It is not the first time snakes have been involved in bizarre events, as in Melbourne last year two thieves fought with a python in the car park of a McDonalds.

The men were left tussling with the five-foot long creature – named Boris – after grabbing him from his owner's house.
