A man plans to show his support for soldiers via a charity walk from Worthing to London, during which he will wear a full suit of armour.

Colin Bikers will donate sponsorship funds to Help for Heroes and the Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice in Arundel, the BBC reports.

In total the trek will span 65 miles and the suit weighs five stones, the news source notes.

"It's good for keeping the sun out of your eyes but not good for seeing the road ahead.

"I cannot believe how they survived in battle wearing that," the 38-year-old said.

He agreed to the feat after a few drinks in his local pub and will embark upon the challenge on St George's Day (April 23rd), with the aim of reaching the capital in time for the royal wedding on April 29th.

Recently a sailor from Chinnor and his friends raised over £50,000 for Help for Heroes when they walked from London's Wembley Stadium to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, the Henley Standard reported.
