Man shaves in half-moustache for military charity

A man has shaved off half of his moustache as he seeks to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Arthur Diaper, who is a Suffolk-based poultry processor, spent most of 2011 growing the facial hair, Farmers Weekly reports.

He then took the decision to get rid of the right hand side of the fuzz and is hoping to garner over £2,000 from the stunt for the military charity.  

"My wife, Moira, is threatening to remove the offending half-moustache at the earliest opportunity and this would obviously have a negative impact on the fundraising," Mr Diaper stated.

Because of this, he has appealed to everyone to be generous with their donations.

It comes after concert band Wheelz collected £2,000 for Help for Heroes after putting on a gig.

There was also a talk given by the local county coordinator Gill Newman and her son Sergeant Lee Egerton from the RAF Chinooks.
