West Midlands man Stuart Kettell has completed a challenge which saw him go up a mountain while rolling a sprout with his nose.

By completing the Snowden-based Brussels sprout activity, to support the charity Macmillan Cancer Support, the fundraiser has so far brought in over £4,455 according to his Just Giving page. This notes that his target is to bring in £5,000.

It's the eighth "crazy challenge" Kettell has undertaken for the charity, according to the page. These have helped him raise £40,000.

"It hurt my arms, my legs, my feet, my knees and my neck," he has explained, about the sprout challenge.

Meanwhile, Macmillan Cancer Support is running a fundraising campaign asking people to get a new hairdo for charity.

It recently released several snaps of celebs taken by Rankin to launch the initiative, in which it wants people to shave their hair or try and new hair style to raise money.

The launch snaps feature  Nina Nesbitt, Gethin Jones and Abbey Clancy sporting unusual looks.

"The Shave or Style shoot for Macmillan really gave me the chance to challenge what people expect from Abbey, Nina and Gethin," said Rankin.

"It was great fun but it’s important to remember that at the end of the shoot, all three left as they arrived, yet for those affected by cancer – long standing changes to appearance such as hair loss are a day to day reality."

He added that the Shave or Style initiative encourages people to give something new a go so as to see that alterations to appearance change how people look and feel.

Macmillan survey statistics suggest that some 47 per cent of British people haven't ever altered their hair style, but on average Brits make a change once a year.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801739826-ADNFCR
