Man accidentally sent video of himself copulating with dog

A man got into hot water when he accidentally sent footage of himself copulating with a dog, to his girlfriend.

Prosecutors at Swindon Magistrates Court heard that David Buchanan filmed himself sexually engaged with the couple's 10-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, after watching pornagraphy at home.

Unsurprisingly, depraved David was dumped by his partner after inadvertently sending her the footage, while she was at work.

He had filmed himself in the act on her tablet computer – without realising it was automatically linked with her mobile phone.

The horrified woman immediately rang the police, after viewing the 29 second video clip which had started playing on her handset.

Prosecuting, Keith Ballinger, told magistrates: "This comes to light because it is reported by his then partner. It appears her mobile phone and the tablet are linked by the Cloud, and it is that way the video was sent to her.

"When arrested he said he knew he had done wrong and it was stupid. He had been at home watching pornography and wondered what it would be like to have sex with the dog."

David pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault and was made to register as a sex offender for seven years with a 12-week suspended sentence for two years.

He also had to undergo 50 days of rehabilitation, £85 costs and £80 victim surcharge.

His defence lawyer, Ellen McAnaw, said that he felt a great deal of shame and embarrassment about what happened, adding: "He spends most of his time at home drawing or playing XBox, and he doesn't seem to have any friends outside the previous relationship. He has no support from his family and since the offence has reduced his cannabis use.

"He maintains there is a bug on his device which means it randomly starts recording."
