A cafe in Manchester has set a Man Vs. Food style challenge for breakfast enthusiasts that so far seems to be far too much to stomach.

The 8,000 calorie Hibernator Challenge at Congleton's Bear Grills Cafe offers an attractive prize for those who can manage to eat everything on offer, but to date no one has managed to finish the breakfast.

According to Metro, the breakfast contains an absolutely mind-boggling combination of eight sausages, eight slices of bacon, four hash browns, four fried eggs, a four-egg cheese omelette, four waffles, four black puddings, beans, tomatoes, mushroom, fries, four pieces of plain toast and four pieces of fried bread with butter. The thought alone would make you feel full for days.

And that's before you even turn your eye to the astonishing 32-ounce strawberry milkshake, topped off with a huge dollop of whipped cream. So heavy and unhealthy is the breakfast that the owners of the cafe make anyone who orders it sign a waiver before they start what must be the lengthy task of grilling and frying.

The breakfast will set any ambitious morning diners back just £19.95 and for anyone who manages the rather unlikely task of gulping it all down, there's a prize of £100. Unfortunately it looks like a challenge even TV's Adam Richman would struggle with.

Owner of the cafe Mark Winder said: "Younger guys come in, and it is all men who have tried the challenge, and they look at the ingredients up on the board and say: ‘I am going to smash that'.

"But then they see it come out on the big platter all heaped high and start to cry on the phone to their friends. They give up after about twenty minutes."

To date, the cafe owner said, some 20 people have undertaken the challenge, with no one having managed to come even close to success as of yet. ADNFCR-2867-ID-801752484-ADNFCR
