Rising opera star Lucy Watmough is to realise a charity single for Help for Heroes.
The track is titled Memories of You and has been penned by her friend Chris Bevan, the Wharfedale Observer reports.
It comes after the success of the Military Wives choir, which secured the Christmas number one with their song Wherever You Are and donated all of the proceeds to the same third sector group.
Ms Watmough said she wants young people to be able to access her music through the web.
The performer remarked that she had been approached by Mr Bevan to see if she would be interested in lending her vocals to the tune.
"It's great exposure for Chris as a composer – for me – and most importantly for Help for Heroes," she added.
Ms Watmough continued by saying that everyone involved in the production has given their time for free, which means every single penny raised will go to the charity.
