Long-term relationships are “wonderful”

Being in a long-term committed relationship is a fantastic experience.

This is according to singleton Abigail Gavin, who may be tempted to try out online dating to find that special person as she has not been out with anyone in two years.

"I think having a relationship where you are both happy to publicly declare your love and respect for each other and vow to stay together is a wonderful thing," she told the Daily Mail.

TV relationship expert Kate Taylor noted for women there is a certain stigma associated with admitting a desire to get married some day.

Ms Taylor continued by saying some ladies are told to keep things "light and breezy" at the start so that men will stay interested.

Recent research has found couples that meet over the web will tie the knot after an average of 18.5 months, which is much shorter than the 42 months it usually takes those who get together face-to-face.
