Londoners ‘have embraced online dating’

London is a city that has embraced online dating.

As people increasingly go on the internet in search of love, the UK's capital is somewhat ahead of the curve.

According to Joel Simkhai, who has created a number of dating apps, there is something about the people in the capital that makes them receptive to social networking on all levels.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard, he said individuals enjoy the opportunity to cut straight to the point.

"You go on, you search, you message back and forth, then you arrange to meet," he added.

Single people keen to find their Mr or Mrs Right could find success on the web, where their anonymity is protected until they are ready to disclose it.

However, individuals should not leave it too long before arranging a meet, as it is important to establish early on whether or not there is any chemistry in a budding relationship.
