Organisers of a fashion event set to take place in London next month are hoping to support soldiers by raising £1 million for military charities.

Fashion for the Brave was launched in the capital yesterday (September 6th) and will take place at the Dorchester hotel on October 26th.

Many famous names in the fashion world are supporting the event, with Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham, Julien Macdonald and Matthew Williamson among those who will be showing off designs at the black tie event.

Money raised at the fashion show will be donated to Help for Heroes, the Soldiers Charity and the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund.

Angela Rippon will be hosting proceedings and members of The Household Cavalry will also make an appearance.

A charity auction is set to take place on the night, with a limited-edition Range Rover among the items on offer.

Rock band Status Quo also announced yesterday they have chosen September 27th as the release date for a single that will raise money for servicemen and women.
