The internet could provide the perfect forum for single soldiers to meet prospective partners who share the same interests, one expert has suggested.

Relationship author Sue Olster noted the most successful pairings are formed when two people with a similar outlook are brought together, UK Net Guide reports.

The specialist observed: "Relationships are best formed with likeminded people who we meet at likeminded places, or through likeminded friends."

She claimed these situations can include online dating sites, as well as other social occasions.

Moreover, Ms Olster advised those who do hook up to attempt to exude the right signals when meeting up.

This can be achieved through being confident when approaching a date and this will enable a person's individuality and self assurance to shine through, she added.

Relationship guru David Kamau recently claimed the world wide web can provide singletons with a great opportunity to meet others, regardless of whether they live on the other side of the world or in the same city.
