A pair of young brothers from Leeds have teamed up to release a song to raise money for forces charity Help for Heroes (H4H).

Oliver and Oscar Newbould, pupils at Boston Spa School in the Yorkshire city, have made their song Superhero available to download from iTunes, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Proud parents Lisa and Simon Newbould explained their sons – who are in a band together called Chasing Stolen Embers – were inspired to put the track together after soldiers from the Yorkshire regiment were injured earlier this year.

Ms Newbould said: "After Oscar heard about it, he was writing a song about his love of superheroes, but then realised that our real superheroes are those fighting for our country."

Oscar and Oliver recorded the song in Castleford with backing from Boston Spa School Choir.

Help for Heroes has raised millions of pounds since it was set up five years ago by Bryn and Emma Parry.
