Jump in ‘head first’ with online dating

People trying out online dating are best off jumping in head first.

Individuals on the lookout for love – possibly with British soldiers – may want to listen to author John Rushton, who noted that it is "really a case of just going for it".

People have to prepare themselves for the fact that they may have to go on more than one first date if they are looking for a long-term commitment.

Mr Rushton remarked the best way to be successful when using the medium is to just "be completely honest".

The specialist continued by saying people should lay their cards on the table and tell prospective partners: "I'm genuinely looking for a good friend and if a partnership or a relationship develops, so much the better."

One person who successfully used online dating recently is musician Sinead O'Connor, as the singer married a man she met on the web.
