Members of the armed forces who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan have been invited to attend the royal wedding.
Single soldiers may be among the 1,900 people set to receive post over the coming weeks, as St James's Palace revealed it has issued the invitations for the big day.
The ceremony will be held in Westminster Abbey on April 29th and celebrities, diplomats and friends of the couple are among those who will gather as part of the congregation.
While names of guests have not been officially released, David and Victoria Beckham are among the A-listers who will join the injured soldiers in celebrating the union of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Following the service there will be a reception for approximately 600 people at Buckingham Palace, while there will be a more intimate dinner for fewer guests later in the evening.
Prince William is also thought to have requested representatives from a range of charities he supports to the occasion.
