A group of ten soldiers from Scotland are going to take part in a charity cycle.

The armed forces personnel – who have all been injured while serving on the front line – are in training for the Hero Ride, which is due to take place on June 2nd.

Jonpaul Nevin, who is originally from Edinburgh and is the the lead strength and conditioning coach for Help for Heroes (H4H), is going to lead the men on the challenge as they try to cycle from Edinburgh to London.

He told the Scotsman: "We want to encourage more wounded soldiers to get into cycling. Sport is a key part of the recovery process. It enables an individual to focus on what they can achieve."

All of the money raised by the men from taking part in the event will go to H4H, which is hoping to collect £1 million from the cycle.
