Hero soldiers could be about to benefit from a new hovercraft tourism scheme.

According to the Weston Mercury, former servicemen are to be employed as pilots for the Hovabout service – which will give people trips down Burnham beach – while funds raised through the venture will be handed to the Help for Heroes charity.

Owner Paul Graham said he hopes the business will provide an exciting and innovative tourism attraction in the area and get former members of the Armed Forces back into the public sphere.

The first role at Hovabout has been taken by ex-rifleman Jamie Cooper and Mr Graham commented: "Hopefully Jamie is just the first we'll employ here, we're looking to get a lot of ex-servicemen working with the hovercrafts in the near future."

Page three girl for the Sun Peta Todd recently told the newspaper she would do almost anything in an effort to help raise money for the Help for Heroes cause.
