Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Hollyoaks star Gerard McCarthy said that he is coming round to the idea of finding love online.

He recently stripped for a photo shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine in conjunction with the Everyman campaign to encourage men to look out for testicular cancer.

McCarthy stated that while there was a serious side to it, he used the opportunity to advertise for a girlfriend.

"It’s definitely an advert. I thought to myself it’s getting to that stage in my life where it’s either start internet dating or go on Strictly Come Dancing. So I’m pimping myself out," he told the news provider.

Pimping themselves out is what single soldiers should be doing, with Diana Vilbert, writing for The Frisky, recently stating that making oneself sound interesting and fun to be with is more likely to attract the opposite sex.tting in on the act.
