The Invictus Games, set to be staged this September, have a lot of high profile support.

The event is set to feature over 400 injured, wounded and sick service people taking part in a variety of sports. It is being staged September 10th to 14th this year, with tickets currently on sale.

Obviously Prince Harry is famously backing the games, and indeed launched them, but so are the likes of Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley and James Bond himself, Daniel Craig.

They showed their support for the event (which The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry is also supporting) by appearing in a short film that was posted online in May.

Also present in the video were the likes of musicians Joss Stone, Rod Stewart and Will.i.am. Stone is known for hits like You Had Me, Stewart for hits like Sailing and will.i.am for hits like Bang Bang.

Bear Grylls and Stephen Fry pop up too, along with Example and Strictly Come Dancing's Bruce Forsyth, among others.

In the film, posted on the Invictus Games website, celebs recite William Ernest Henley's 19th Century poem Invictus.

The poem starts with James Bond star Daniel Craig – who has been seen in films like Skyfall and Casino Roayle – reciting the opening line, "Out of the night that covers me". Later in the video, Tom Hardy gives its closing line, "I am the captain of my soul".

“Please give something back to those who give so much. Support this September’s Invictus Games," Craig has also said.

As well as famous faces, the video includes people who hope to compete in the games.

Mary Wilson is one of them. She was a member of the Royal Artillery who was injured when thrown from her horse and later medically discharged. She also has Multiple Sclerosis.

She said in May that it feels great to have the celebs' support: “To know they and the UK public are getting behind us is a real boost, not only for those hoping to make the team for September but for others who are starting out on their road to recovery."ADNFCR-2867-ID-801732714-ADNFCR
