Wounded and sick soldiers staying at one of Help for Heroes' recovery centres have been given a special cookery lesson by a leading chef.
Alan Murchison, who has a Michelin star to his name, led a masterclass in which he taught residents at Tedworth House in Tidworth all about chocolate from around the world, reports the Andover Advertiser.
Once the chocolate demonstration had been finished, the heroes watched Mr Murchison prepare an entire Christmas dinner.
The chef explained that he had found the facilities at Tedworth House to be extremely impressive and that he was delighted to hear about the support offered by the charity to injured servicemen and women.
"Everybody I have met here has been so inspirational and listening to their stories you can see that they are all on a journey – and I feel blessed to be able to help them," he stated.
Tedworth House is one of four such facilities owned and operated by Help for Heroes.
