Help for Heroes is set to benefit from money generated at an upcoming music concert.

The New Seekers – whose hits in the 1970s included I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing and Beg, Steal or Borrow – are to headline the gig, which is being held at Lynn Corn Exchange, Lynn News reports.

It is taking place on Sunday October 31st and support acts include Springwood High School Choir, with Fiona Marshall conducting.

Professional trumpet player John Barker is also on the bill, as is Norfolk funnyman Keith Loads.

Sid Bowfin is the compere for the evening and Valerie Brundle is directing proceedings.

The spectacle will set attendees back £15 and proceeds are to go to the Help for Heroes cause.

Another gig in aid of the charity is being planned for June next year.

Around 30,000 people are expected to turn out for the gathering for the Royal Highland Showground and former members of Simple Minds are set to perform, the Scotsman reported.
