Help for Heroes has been given four vehicles by Vauxhall, which will be used in its fundraising events that help to support soldiers injured on duty.

A Movano van and three Astra Sport Tourers are included in the two-year deal and have been donated to chief executive and co-founder of the charity, Bryn Parry.

The van will come in particularly useful when the organisation is selling merchandise, moving large boxes and heading to air shows, while the cars are versatile and will suit a range of purposes.

Help for Heroes markings have been placed all around the vehicles to draw attention to the cause.

Mr Parry – who founded the charity in 2007 – welcomed the donation and said the transport will be essential, as the organisation has to travel around the UK and Europe to carry out its work.

Vauxhall managing director Duncan Aldred commented: "Vauxhall is proud to be supporting Help for Heroes as it raises money for servicemen and women who have given so much for their country."
