Brave volunteers from a military charity have completed the final stages of a mission to raise funds for injured soldiers.

Some 45 teams from the Help for Heroes 4X4 European Rally have made it to the 'final mission' as part of a bid to raise thousands of pounds for the charity.

Keith Bowen and his son, Tim Price-Bowen, have been dedicated to the 4×4 rally for the last five years.

The two of them have raised an impressive £1,000,000 for Help for Heroes. Together, they have taken a total of 275 teams on a historical tour and raised 50 times more than their original target.

They along with members of the military charity's Band of Brothers, made it to the 'impenetrable' Eagle's Nest in Bavaria.
Brendan Prudom and Curtis Pugh are members of the Band of Brothers. They set off from Littlecote House in Berkshire on Saturday 13th and embarked upon a 2000 mile journey across seven different companies.

They were joined by 44 other crews that have also spent months fundraising towards their venture.

Many of these volunteers are former soldiers themselves who have previously suffered from injuries themselves.

On their website, a report from Help for Heroes, stated: "The 'Final Mission' of the Help for Heroes 4×4 European Rally may be complete, and their wheels may have stopped turning, but the contribution that Keith, Tim and all those that have followed them across Europe (and through the decades) have made to so many lives, and the memories and friendships they have personally made, will be cherished for many years to come."ADNFCR-2867-ID-801793394-ADNFCR
