A rugby team set up to raise funds for injured soldiers is to compete in the Middlesex Charity Sevens.

The Help for Heroes outfit will be playing at the Twickenham Stadium-based tournament tomorrow (August 14th) and the squad has now been confirmed, the Croydon Guardian reports.

It will be managed by Ben Ryan, head coach of the England Sevens.

And Dan Caprice, Mat Turner and John Brake are set to feature among the playing staff.

Ryan labelled the tournament a "fantastic" event.

"It's a privilege to be a part of it and to coach a side which is playing on behalf of such a great cause – Help for Heroes," he explained.

Tickets for the contest start from £20, while children can attend free of charge.

The Ipswich Witches speedway team is holding a special fundraiser night for the charity, which will see members of the armed forces gain free entry to their races against the Swindon Robbins.
