A group of people who have done their bit for Help for Heroes got together at the charity's Catterick base recently.
Bassetlaw Council chairman councillor Ian Campbell teamed up with the charity's regional coordinator Tony Eaton to put on an event for individuals who have donated to the good cause, reports the Gainsborough Standard.
The group of ten was given a presentation at the Help for Heroes facility, before being taken on a tour of the new recovery centre, Phoenix House.
"It was great to physically see where the money I have raised this year will be spent and how it will benefit the men and women that come home injured or wounded," councillor Campbell stated.
He went on to explain that the visit to Catterick had also been a chance to thank many of the people who have given money to the charity and show them exactly how it will be spent.
