Help for Heroes has become one of the biggest fundraising success stories in the countryHelp for Heroes has become one of the biggest fundraising success stories in the country, it has been claimed.

Writing for Third Sector, Alex Blyth noted the charity has enjoyed a rapid ascent since it began as an overnight brainchild of a married couple – Bryn and Emma Parry.

The organisation, which raises money to support injured soldiers, has been able to do so well thanks to a number of factors, the journalist observed.

These include its simple, emotional message, its utilisation of the internet to show how cash is raised and spent and its empowerment of people, as it has enabled anybody to contribute by taking part in old-fashioned fundraising.

Mr Blyth cited Mr Parry, who stated: "I’m determined to keep working on this, to keep raising funds, to keep helping these blokes, these heroes."

Heroic soldiers from the First Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment are to march through the city of Cambridge today (June 14th) as part of a parade to mark their return from Afghanistan.
