A two-day music festival is seeking to raise £5,000 for Help for Heroes (H4H).

Pocktoberfest will take place on October 27th and 28th and will see bands including Echo & the Bunnymen take to the stage.

A spokesman for the festival told the Hull Daily Mail: "We are looking forward to this year's event being the best – and certainly the biggest – so far."

Guillemots, David Ford, plus Simon Fowler and Oscar Harrison from Ocean Colour Scene will be among the artists on hand to keep attendees entertained.

All of the money raised will go towards the charity's Phoenix House Recovery Centre for wounded military personnel in North Yorkshire.

Now in its ninth year, Pocktoberfest will take place at the Old Railway Station, in conjunction with the Pocklington Arts Centre.

More than 50 real ales, lagers and ciders will be offered at the event, while the music gets underway at mid-afternoon.
