Help for Heroes (H4H) is set to benefit from an upcoming Truro to London cycle which is going to happen later in the summer.
The West Briton website reports that Anna Penrose and Rachael Bice are set to take the trip between June 3rd, when they'll set off from Truro on their adventure, and June 8th, when they aim to arrive in London – specifically Blackheath. In all, the ride is some 300 miles long.
It comes after the pair started cycling only months ago, as a way of keeping fit.
"We have been training hard and thoroughly researching our route. We anticipate it will take six days, but we're looking forward to taking on the challenge," commented Rachael Bice, 37, speaking to the news provider.
The pair say they have taken inspiration from Rotary International's humanitarian efforts.
Ms Penrose has explained to the news provider that, when she became injured playing rugby, she had to stop playing contact sports and so started cycling instead.
She said that she wished to use her training for something productive, as well as bring in money for an inspiring charity.
The amateur cyclist added that she was very grateful for the experience she gained through Rotary International, and that this the pair want to look into engaging more individuals with the organisation.
They have talked to the news provider about an international exchange programme Rotary International provides, which they have taken part in.
It's reported that the women's money-raising work is marking the start of Truro Rotary Satellite Club, a freshly launched group, set to meet for the first time later in the summer.
Meanwhile, Help for Heroes is planning to launch concessions at various Debenhams shops in the UK, after the first such retail space, selling the likes of sportswear for the charity, opened on May 10th in Southampton.
