A new Help for Heroes (H4H) kilt has been created to raise funds for the much-loved armed forces charity.

It has been designed by GB Tailoring and is being supplied by ACS Clothing, STV reports.

For every piece of tartan bought, £4 will be donated to the good cause and will help ex and current servicemen and women up and down the country.

Joe Freedman from ACS stated: "We thought the combination of the tartan, which takes the colours of the army, navy and air force … was such that we felt it would be a great thing to support."

Over 1,000 shops across the UK will stock the design and Mr Freedman remarked he is delighted to be supporting such a fantastic charity.

He added wearing the garment is a reminder of the sacrifices being made by people every day and the help they can receive from H4H.

Mr Freedman observed every retailer they approached was happy to support the project.
