Every penny raised by Help for Heroes (H4H) will be invested in a worthy cause.

Bryn and Emma Parry noted the charity is trying to build recovery centres in every part of the UK to help those injured while serving on the front line, This Is Wiltshire reports.

The pair were speaking at a fundraising ball held in Swindon, which saw over £10,000 collected for the military charity.

Mr Parry said: "Even though the repatriations through Royal Wootton Bassett have ended, we have to remember we are still taking casualties from the fighting and the long-term effects are both physical and mental."

Since the husband and wife duo set up H4H in 2007, they have raised some £86 million for various good causes.

Mr Parry observed people have always been keen to help the armed forces, but they never used to have an organisation they could go through to make it happen.
