A Danish grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday in style with her 80-year-old husband as the pair took part in their first ever skydive.

Else Bak and her partner Asger, who have been married for 55 years, were treated to the experience by their son and despite their age decided to go ahead with the jump from 13,000 feet.

Mrs Bak said the experience of jumping from the plane was better than she expected it to be, before describing it as "wonderful" and "absolutely lovely".

The pair were joined by instructors for their skydives, but reunited when they reached the ground with a hug.

Mrs Bak was so happy she wanted to jump again, asking if she could do it all again as soon as she hit Terra Firma.

The pair are set to continue Mrs Bak's birthday celebrations with a trip to Greenland.

Just last month, a 91-year-old great-grandmother in the US experienced her first skydive and she is already planning a second before she turns 92.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801613908-ADNFCR
