A golf club's former captain has presented Help for Heroes with a cheque to show its support for the good cause.
Ian Brazier, who captained Pershore Golf Society last year, handed over £750 to the military charity after the funds were raised by kind-hearted members of the team, reports the Evesham Observer.
Some ten events were held throughout 2013 in order to raise the money and it will now be used to support ex-servicemen and women who have been injured or wounded in combat.
All manner of ideas were used to raise funds over the last year, including dishing out fines for three-putting, hosting special days out and running a sweepstake at each of the events on the calendar.
It is still not too late for keen golfers to join the club and to do their bit for charity, and anyone interested in doing so is advised to search for the group on Google.
