Golden retrievers taught how to play piano

Dogs are intelligent creatures and they can be taught to do many things.

However, a woman in France has excelled herself in instructing her two canines on how to play the piano.

A video has emerged showing the lady guide the pooches through a rendition of the Waltz of the Fleas by using a wind instrument called an ocarina.

The golden retrievers look perfectly at home in front of the piano – albeit an oversized one – as they belt out the tune.

Who knows how successful the pair can go on to be but I'm sure they won't face much competition from the canine world in their quest to become the best dog piano players.

It would be great to hear them have a go at Ride of the Valkyries, the song made famous by war movie Apocalypse Now.

Maybe they could also form a band with other musical animals?
